BenStay Blog is published by BenStay LLC (ベンステイ合同会社), a hospitality and property management company based in Japan. We operate guesthouses, manage vacation rentals, and build tools for the hospitality industry.

Why this blog

Running a hospitality business in Japan means navigating layers of regulations, taxes, and cultural expectations that aren’t well-documented in English. This blog is our way of sharing what we’ve learned — from minpaku licensing to company structuring to expense management — so other founders and operators don’t have to figure it all out from scratch.
