A few summers ago I got a message from a guest at one of our Tokyo properties at 11pm: a cockroach had walked across the kitchen counter. Nobody got hurt, nothing was damaged, and the guest was actually pretty chill about it — but the review that followed mentioned it anyway, and it sat on our listing for months.
